Dr. Heil is certified in the use of both Diagnostic and Therapeutic drugs for the diagnosis and treatment of eye health problems. He is continually educating himself and completed multiple courses in ocular disease, glaucoma and contact lens specialty applications. Dr. Heil has dedicated his professional career to vision correction and contact lens fitting, as well as diagnosing and treating eye health problems. An active member of the Washington Optometric Physicians Association, Dr. Heil has twice served as President. In addition, he has also been Vice President, Treasurer of the Pierce County Branch and as a State Board Trustee. He has acted as a lobbyist in Olympia, working toward better eye health care for all the citizens of Washington. Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Heil fell in love with Pacific Northwest since coming here in 1977 to attend Optometry school. He lives with his wife, Janice, and their two boys in Maple Valley. Dr. Heil enjoys mountain climbing and back country skiing and has climbed extensively in the Northwest. He has been a member of the Tacoma Mountaineers for many years, participating in and leading climbing courses and activities. His outings now usually include hikes and skiing trips that the whole family can enjoy. Our Opticians are on staff to provide you with the newest and finest quality of lenses, as well as assisting in frame selection, adjustments, and repairs. Our Optometric Assistants are an important part of the quality care that you receive. They are continually updated on the latest innovations in lens, frame and contact lens options. They are also able to assist you with your insurance and submit billing for services.
He has been in private practice in the Seattle area until present. He is a member of the American Optometry Association and the Optometric Physicians of Washington. He specializes in comprehensive eye health examinations and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. His mission is to keep the eyes healthy whilst striving to obtain the best vision for his patients, adhering to the highest standard of eye care using the latest advances in eye health care using the best in modern technology.
Dr. Cindy Hung received her doctor of optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2000, and her undergraduate education from the University of Washington.
She gained broad clinical experience having practiced in various settings ranging from a large hospital, a laser refractive surgery clinic, to an ophthalmology office. Dr. Hung is a primary eye care doctor who can treat eye disease, infection or injury as well as perform laser surgery and diabetic eye evaluations. Dr. Hung enjoys hiking, reading and traveling. She is actively involved with many internaitonal medical missions that provide free eye care to those who cannot afford it. These missions take place in developing countries such as Mexico, El Salvador, Turkey, Malawi and Viet Nam. She has been with Dr. Heil and staff where her dedication to eye health care and education is greatly appreciated. |
